  • The Bates Family | Lifestyle Family

  • I met the completely adorable Bates Family at one of my favourite local spots.
As Felina said, the walkway would be perfect for containing
‘active’ toddlers and the bird sighting are always a great distraction.
The beautiful, rich fall colours and textures surrounding us
were the perfect backdrop against this beautiful, fun family.
    Oscar and Leila were perfect,
tolerating me, my camera and my antics during nap and snack times
which is asking a lot from such sweet little people.
    (and big people too! lol)

It was hard to narrow down some favourites,
    I loved them all,
But here are some that pulled at my heart.

  • Stephanie | Lifestyle Maternity

  • I met Stephanie, Ryan and little Hannah at the Ocean side.
The family had just settled in after a cross country move from Saskatchewan.
Even just the thought of having her maternity photos near the ocean
was so exciting for all of them.
Hannah spent most of her time throwing rocks into water,
    as toddler do.
In just a short while, she will become a big sister,
and I get to go visit the family in their new home once they get settled in.

I have loved getting to know them,
and look forward to many more of our sessions together
as they navigate parenthood with two beautiful girls and
    the wonderful ‘island life’.

  • The Tromp Family | Ashley Marston Photography

  • Over 4 years I have watched this beautiful family grow.
I started photographing Yui and Mike the day they got married,
and now, here we are, two beautiful children later.
Every time I photograph them I enjoy our visit.
I love getting to see the kids grow and I ‘think’ Rebecca may be warming up to me πŸ˜‰
How lucky am I to be the one to capture them year after year.

I know these photographs will make their way to Japan,
and so I hope that her family enjoys seeing the beautiful love filled life
that she has here in Canada.

Here are some of my favourite of the Tromp Family!

  • Rosie | Lifestyle Newborn

  • When shooting, editing and blogging this adorable newborn session,
Im fairly certain that a smile never left my face.
This family is as sweet and funny as they are adorable,
and if I didn’t have to go home to my own kids,
I could have just as happily moved myself in for the week
to share in the laugher, toddler conversations and baby snuggles.

Little Rosie is about the sweetest thing you ever did see.
Her easy going nature and big bright eyes fit right in here.

I was so happy and honoured to come over to celebrate her arrival.

So incredibly hard to choose favourites…
So prepare for an over share πŸ˜‰

  • Siena | Lifestyle Newborn

  • Sweet Darling Siena is here.
    Perfectly Planned and loved,
her beautiful story started in Southern France.
When Ken and Megan arrived home
from their vacation to find out they were indeed pregnant,
    they were thrilled.
I had the pleasure of photographing them while Megan was expecting,
and so I was looking forward to meeting this sweet little girl once she had settled in at home.

  • Nora | Lifestyle Newborn

  • Celebrating and Welcoming sweet babies into the world
is what brings me the most joy.
I love walking into the home that has heard her first cry,
will see her first steps, and the door she will be heading out to kindergarten from.
Sweet, sweet Nora has been blessed with the most wonderful beginning.
I am so happy and honoured that I was able to photograph a glimpse into that.

Ever so hard to even begin to pick favourites from this session,
    I had to try…

These were the ones that made my heart swell.

Welcome to the world Darling Nora

  • Patrick and Krystal | A Wedding Story

  • Ive known for a couple of years that Krystal and Pat were going to get married.
It was really a matter of how and when.

She told me in the very beginning that she wanted me there,
and well…that just brings tears to my eyes.
I loved that I got a message the day they got engaged,
I loved that I was part of the planning,
I love when I am in on all the secrets πŸ˜‰

One this was for certain from the very beginning,
She wanted to make sure she honoured her father who is no longer with us.
and she carried him in her heart all day.

They had decided to have a simple ceremony at Pats parents GORGEOUS property.
I met them before all their guests for a First Look
and then we drove up to Pats Grammas home and property,
a place that has special meaning for him.

Our last stop before we headed to the ceremony was a little country road,
a place Krystal strongly connected with after movingΒ here.
Then we made our way to the beautiful ceremony where their closets friends and family gathered.

    Pat and Krystal, thank you.
What an amazing day with you two and
I am honoured you have entrusted your memories with me.

  • Little John | Lifestyle Newborn

  • It was probably in my first few emails with Lee that I knew she was my ‘people’
I met her and John face to face at our meeting for Birth Photography.

As I was chatting with them about their experience so far
and if they had any concerns and questions for me..
A tiny little blue eye’d girl came up and curled up into my lap.

    It didn’t phase me.

I often joke that children and animals love me because I smell like cookies and ‘fishy crackers’
Apparently though, this was completely out of character for their sweet 4 year old daughter, Max.

The entire meeting she sat on my lap.
Held my hands, hugged me, played with my hair…

So I think in that moment I was ‘in’
They were not getting rid of me anytime soon,
and I had officially had my heart stolen.

The coming weeks would bring the arrival of Little John.
He was born at home, in his living room,
as the stunning early summer sunshine shone through their windows.
I was there, and fell in love with little Max, Lee and her family all over again.

Upon the homecoming of musician dad, John, I was invited back again.
This time to capture them all together as a family of 5,
    including big sister Acacia
who happen to come home juuuuuust in time for a few family shots πŸ˜‰

The end of my time with them was spent with their dog Jake.
Knowing that he is on ‘borrowed time’,
Lee asked me to take a few portraits of him while she nursed little John off to sleep.
And I was happy to do it.

    Thank you Webster/Kelly Family,
for inviting me into your lives.

The best part is that Ive made a few new friends, big and small πŸ™‚

  • Judah | Lifestyle Newborn

  • Some of my most favourite photographs Ive ever taken have been with this wonderful family.
Lauras maternity photo and Evas newborn photo
graced the cover of my website for years.
So I am fond of them to say the least.

    Time passes much to quickly
and that beautiful newborn girl I photographed on her parents bed
    is now a Big Sister!
Judah was welcomed into this world 6 weeks ago.
The perfect and sweetest edition to this wonderful family.
My time with them was easy, carefree and effortless,
I love spending time with them and capturing them as they are.

    Welcome Sweet Judah!
What a wonderful family you’ve got there πŸ˜‰

Here are some of my favourites!

  • Axel | Lifestyle Newborn

  • There are some families I hold close to my heart.
The Emersons are one of those families.
And its not for the number of times Ive photographed them, or why I was there,
But more for that I feel at home with them,
that its more like visiting friends than ‘going to work’

Luckily for me, they also happen to have some of the most adorable children,
    and they themselves….also adorable.

So photographing them also comes easy…
(Even though Cruz has me using all the tricks in my ‘photographers box of tricks’ πŸ˜‰ )

In this particular visit, we were welcoming and celebrating the arrival of Baby Axel.
Another perfect and sweet boy for Tiff and Sonny.
I enjoyed snuggling him as much as I enjoyed photographing him with his family,
and in his perfectly decorated nursery.

…Already looking forward till the next time I see them…

Here are a few of my favourites!

  • Abigail | Lifestyle Newborn

  • I feel like one of the best parts of my job is reconnecting with people in some of their happiest moments.
Jill and I went to High school together
and so I was happy to find her and her wonderful family
in this adorable home, happy, healthy
and just welcoming a new ‘cute as a button’ family member.

Sweet Abigail was a dream as her big brother
bounced circles and flew planes around here.
It won’t be long and she’ll be chasing after him,
but for now they breath, relax
and enjoy these times when she is small and taking it all in.

Here are some of my favourite Moments with
    Mom, Dad, ‘Big Brother’ Elliot
    and sweet lil’ Abigail!

  • The Silvey Family | Lifestyle Family Session

  • Jen and I were trying to remember what child I was pregnant with the last time I photographed them.
All I knew was, they were some of my very first ‘clients’
and it had been too long since Id seen those cute boys faces.
Seriously, the Silvey boys are as handsome as they come
But their kind, caring and fun disposition is what makes them a dream to photograph and a joy to be around.
They come by these traits honestly as Jen and Drew are very much the same.
Honestly it hardly felt like work.
More like hanging out with my Beautiful friends in one of my favourite places with some pretty incredible light.

It was VERY hard to choose favourites to share….but I think ive narrowed it down πŸ˜‰
