  • Rudy | Lifestyle Newborn

  • I was so excited to jump back into the images of the the Stephaniuk household.
My morning with  little Rudy and his big sister Lucie was so incredibly sweet.
Lucie has been waiting 11 years to become a big sister,
I couldn’t get over how attentive she was to him,
never leaving the room without kissing the top of his sweet head <3
I was reminded again of how lovely and warm their home was.
Something I love the most  was the walls, filled with photographs of some of their most precious moments together as a family of three
and now they have these, first moments of them as a family of four.

Here are just a few of my favourite images of my time with them.

  • Oscar | Lifestyle Newborn

  • It was about half way through this session that I smiled quietly to myself
I watched Rob and Megan take in their newest baby upstairs and downstairs and we listened to the older siblings happily play with their littlest sister.
They had just finished a big Saturday morning pancake breakfast when I came in, the house was bustling with activity.
    How wonderful.
Little Oscar has been born into a big family, surrounded by all his brothers and sisters.
They are Blended, Beautiful and full of life, Big & Small.
I was happy to be with them, happy to document them and each image has me smiling from ear to ear.
I know they will have you smiling too.

    Welcome to this world Oscar!

You are one lucky little man!

  • Saturday Morning with the Mickleboroughs’ | Day in the Life

  • Early one Saturday Morning in January, I slowly crept into the Mickleboroughs home before the sun came up.
That weekend, they were celebrating Wee Winter and his first trip around then Sun.
This sweet family film is to celebrate them, and their first year as a family of three,
but also as a reminder and a keepsake of this moment in their life.
Saturday mornings are just as treasured in our home as they are in many others.
I’m certain that most of you will find yourself remembering those days when you were trying to keep a squirming toddler
in bed for just a few more minutes so you could close your eyes one more time.
Perhaps you can remember them playing in the pots and pans drawer while you were making breakfast and trying to get into the fridge whenever the door opened.
I know for sure that a main source of nutrition for our dogs came from the chubby hands feeding them cherrios.

I found myself wishing I had this kind of keepsake for my own family.

But being with Ian, Brittany and Winter for their wonderfully ordinary but extraordinary morning,

and now watching this, brings a big smile to my face
and I can see so clearly those fleeting moments from our own Saturday mornings.

I have had an incredible time with the Mickleboroughs since I first met them, and photographed them a little over a year ago.
From celebrating their pregnancy, photographing Winters first breaths in this world,
I came into their home as they were navigating parenthood in those first precious week
and then flying half way around the world with them when they eloped on a beach in the Caribbean Sun.

Now we are back in the comfort of their beautiful home
I cannot wait for our next adventure and I am so grateful that they have let me come along for the ride

Sit back and enjoy some images from the sweetest morning with the sweetest boy. A One Year Old, Winter Wolfe.
And if you haven’t had a chance to watch their family film,
It is ready and waiting for you at the end of this post!

PS // The second song in this film is written and preformed by Ian! Titled “Round the Sun” ❤️ #heartmelting

  • Nathan & Bennett | Lifestyle Newborn

  • This is Nathan.
He lives with his big brother Bennett, his two Mamas and a puppy who all love him very much.
I came to meet him just after Christmas.
The last time I saw this family, Bennett was just wee in his mamas arms
and now, both of their arms are delightfully full with these two beautiful boys.

I loved our slow morning of snuggles, superhero and cookie snacks.

Here are just a few of my faves <3

  • Amila | Milk Bath

  • Sweet Amila Marie

    14 Days New

    Milk Bath Session

  • Evelyn | Lifestyle Newborn

  • Are  you ready for the sweetest baby with the most adorable cheeks you are ever seen in your life!?!?
Oh Evelyn! I could squeeze you for days…..
I was invited into the Little household one more time before the end of the year, to document not just three of them…
    But now Four.
Last time I was in these rooms, they were preparing for her arrival
and I followed a very pregnant Jess all the way to the hospital.
Evelyn was born breach, and by C Section and weighed 10 pounds and 15 ounces of sweet baby goodness!
This time, they were settling in just perfectly with their new little cherub
and I snuck in to capture them loved up with her in these precious moments.

I almost posted every frame I took because I loved them ALL…

But narrowed it down to just a ‘few’ favourites….

Here is Evelyn & Jocelyn to brighten your Day!

  • Brittany and Winter | Breastfeeding Session | Turks and Caicos

  • I spent 6 days in Turks and Caicos.
Every single night I was there, the sunset was insanely beautiful.
So of course we made very good use of it….

These are some of my very favourite breastfeeding shots.
And its not only the back drop that takes my breath away,
but the connection between mamma and son,
the curiosity, the rawness and that cute little baby bum that I just cant get over.

I feel this set needed to stand alone, and so I have a few here to share with you,

Brittany, Winter and the Caribbean Sunset.

  • Breastfeeding Summer Mini Sessions | 2018

  • The Breastfeeding/Bottlefeeding Summer mini sessions are something I look forward to every year.
Often I get to re connect with families I have photographed before,
and some I am meeting for the first time.
I look forward to the baby snuggles, the conversations about motherhood.
Each mother is at a different stage with their baby,
some are just starting out, navigating feeding for the first time.
We chat about the struggles, the joys…
Some come to see me knowing that soon their baby will wean off
and they want to capture these sweet memories before they slip away.
And every so often I get a wee one who is on a nursing strike…
    *cough* Lydia *cough* lol
and we just roll with it,  like motherhood…
and capture some mama snuggles and sweet smiles in the setting sun.

It was impossible to pick favourites,
but I tried to here without just posting their whole galleries..

Here are some Favourites of these beautiful Mum & Babes…

  • Melissa & Dallan | A Wedding Story

  • I have been the one lucky enough to be there for all of Melissa and Dallas wonderful moments,
including the birth of both of their beautiful children.
So when they decided to plan a SURPRISE wedding during one of their family vacations
I was thrilled to be involved!

The rest of the family thought that I was coming for family portraits,
so when we all assembled together for me to go over what to expect,
Dallan got down on one knee and proposed.
Not only that, but after the excitment they let everyone know that the wedding was THAT DAY!

Full of love, rich with laughter and without any fuss…(just like them)
I documented the official coming together of two amazing people,
surrounded by all their family and their two beautiful children.

The Woodward Family has now moved from their home in Victoria,
    across country to Ontario
but promises to fly me out for any more incredible moments…;)
I told them Im ready at a moments notice!
And cant wait until the day I see them all again.
Until then I have enjoyed every moment of reliving this incredible day and I hope they will too.

    Introducing…

    Mr & Mrs Woodward

  • Axel | Lifestyle Newborn

  • Im sure you can imagine the excitement the day Axel was born.
Not knowing what was growing and kicking inside her belly,
with two sweet girls at home already,
I think they all just assumed possibly they would be blessed again with another beautiful girl.
    but….Surprise!
The moment Axel was born is one I’ll never forget.
The room was bursting with tears and excitement as the Crisp Familys’ first boy was brought earth side.
Since then, he has been surrounded and delightfully smothered by love, and rightfully so.
I feel very fortunate to have been there surrounded by all the excitement
and then home a few weeks later to see him settling in just perfectly.

    Welcome sweet boy.
You are as handsome as they come
and one of the luckiest little boys I know.

Here are a few favourites of my time with the Crisp Family,
    now a family of five.

  • The Harmon Family | Lifestyle Family

  • There is something about the Harmon Family that brings light into my heart.
I met them 2 years ago, and so this time when I saw them, they had welcomed a new family member,
    Sweet Summer.
I was quickly reminded of how much I loved them.
Their energy, the way they play and engage with their children,
    Their smiles. All of them.
    I thoroughly enjoy every moment
and it is my hope that you can feel who they are in these photographs.
That you can feel the joy.

Im already looking forward to the next time I get to see them
and I loved re visiting this session and sharing it with you and with them today.

I could have posted every frame from my time with them…

But here are a handful of my very favourite moments.

  • Taylor & River | Motherhood Session

  •  I was there when River was brought into this world.
The immense power and strength, mentally and physically that I saw from his mother that day changed me.
I realized then, that as woman, no matter what the circumstances, we power through.
    Taylor taught me that.
Now as a mother of a happy, wonderful one year old boy, I am still learning from her.
I quietly observed their connection with my camera.
I documented his beaming personality, her patience and the incredible bond they have as mother and son.
Its been a wonderful year getting to know them,
celebrating their beginnings and all the incredible moments that came after it.

Here are some of my favourites from a beautiful motherhood session,
following a busy toddler exploring in the grass
and watching the sun set behind the moutains.
