Ian & Brittany | A Wedding Story
The gratitude I feel when I look through these images is overwhelming.
Was I really there?
How incredibly lucky I am to have such amazing people in my life,
that I get to fly half way around the world to document this time for them.
These are proof that I didn’t dream the whole thing up ?
Brittany and Ian had an incredible day.
Every moment of it (Even the ones when it poured rain..lol)
was so ‘them’.
Laid back, Easy going and filled with laughter.
This was the day the three of them ‘officially’ became a family.
I love the real moments of togetherness and of motherhood
weaving together the story of their day.
Just as they wanted, they exchanged heartfelt vows on a white sandy beach
as the sun set on the Caribbean Sea.
Every moment perfect.

Turks & Caicos
Brittany and Winter | Breastfeeding Session | Turks and Caicos
I spent 6 days in Turks and Caicos.
Every single night I was there, the sunset was insanely beautiful.
So of course we made very good use of it….
These are some of my very favourite breastfeeding shots.
And its not only the back drop that takes my breath away,
but the connection between mamma and son,
the curiosity, the rawness and that cute little baby bum that I just cant get over.
I feel this set needed to stand alone, and so I have a few here to share with you,
Brittany, Winter and the Caribbean Sunset.
The Mountains | Extended Family
Whoever said that Extended Family Sessions were boring
has never photographed the Mountain Family!
15 of them assembled themselves on the family property
which is nestled up against the fields of Porters Farm.
As I tried to assemble them as best I could, a smile never left my face.
Ive known the family for a long time and so spending time with them felt like ‘old times’
When I was having dinner and sleepovers and John and Cindys place, I was as old as some of their grandchildren are now!
The end of our session was spent taking some time out for a few Promo shots of “The Porter Brothers”
The three boys of Brianne and Ian Porter are a local hit on the music scene.
They’ve got a lot of support, especially from their family.
Im happy the whole family put up with me as long as they did
and I came home with a big bag of homegrown corn
and some pretty great memories to go along with these photos.
Have a cup of coffee and spend some time with John, Cindy and the people they love most.

Pam, Ambrose and Iris | Lifestyle Family
If you saw me post the sneak peeks for this amazing session,
then you probably saw me refer to Pam as a Superhero.
Well…I wasn’t kidding.
Not only does she love these two fiercely and is one of the best moms I know,
But she also fights crime (thats my cheeky way of saying she’s a dedicated Police Officer)
and is an incredible athlete! (Ive seen it firsthand in our Crossfit classes)
I LOVED that I got a chance to see her out of uniform (and gym clothes)
for an incredible session down by the river.
I love that I got to capture her with them,
all three of them beautiful and sweet…
Nothing makes me happier and this is the perfect combination for a beautiful session.
It was hard to not choose them all…but here are a collection of my faves!
Breastfeeding Summer Mini Sessions | 2018
The Breastfeeding/Bottlefeeding Summer mini sessions are something I look forward to every year.
Often I get to re connect with families I have photographed before,
and some I am meeting for the first time.
I look forward to the baby snuggles, the conversations about motherhood.
Each mother is at a different stage with their baby,
some are just starting out, navigating feeding for the first time.
We chat about the struggles, the joys…
Some come to see me knowing that soon their baby will wean off
and they want to capture these sweet memories before they slip away.
And every so often I get a wee one who is on a nursing strike…
*cough* Lydia *cough* lol
and we just roll with it, like motherhood…
and capture some mama snuggles and sweet smiles in the setting sun.
It was impossible to pick favourites,
but I tried to here without just posting their whole galleries..
Here are some Favourites of these beautiful Mum & Babes…
Julia & Ty | A Day in the Life
On the very day that Ty tured one years old, I arrived on the doorstep of his home.
Julia had just got him out of his crib, and they had already started the morning routine of snuggles in bed, followed by pets for Barkley and a bottle, before they headed down the stairs.
“This is for him” Julia said.
Me arriving on his birthday was carefully planned, as this video is meant to be a keepsake for him. A way to remember their connection and the beauty in their everyday.
Gone are the days that I carry my sleepy children up the stairs to their rooms for a mid day nap, but if I close my eyes, I can still feel the weight of them on my hips, their warm breath on my neck and the feeling of resting their bodies against the matress of the crib.
What I would have given for a memory just like this, or one of me with my own mother.
Pricless.
Julia and Ty, thank you for spending your morning with me and sharing in your simple joys.
Next time I see you, you will be TWO years old and I bet our day will be very different, but some things wonderfully still the same.
Here are a few of my favourite photographs from our morning and stay right until the end and watch their adorable family film!

Melissa & Dallan | A Wedding Story
I have been the one lucky enough to be there for all of Melissa and Dallas wonderful moments,
including the birth of both of their beautiful children.
So when they decided to plan a SURPRISE wedding during one of their family vacations
I was thrilled to be involved!
The rest of the family thought that I was coming for family portraits,
so when we all assembled together for me to go over what to expect,
Dallan got down on one knee and proposed.
Not only that, but after the excitment they let everyone know that the wedding was THAT DAY!
Full of love, rich with laughter and without any fuss…(just like them)
I documented the official coming together of two amazing people,
surrounded by all their family and their two beautiful children.
The Woodward Family has now moved from their home in Victoria,
across country to Ontario
but promises to fly me out for any more incredible moments…;)
I told them Im ready at a moments notice!
And cant wait until the day I see them all again.
Until then I have enjoyed every moment of reliving this incredible day and I hope they will too.

Miller Family | A Day in the Life
They are welcoming to anyone who comes and they were wonderful to me.
I felt a sense of calm there, a feeling that comes with being in such a beautiful familiar landscape and with the safe haven of family,
both with the Millers and within the community
It is a true testiment of the beauty of our beloved west coast, and the boys thrived within it.
Everywhere we went she is greeted with smiles and hugs.
In moments of crisis she is the first to respond there, in moments of need she is one who gets the call.
and now I have seen through my camera, her skills as a nurse and a caregiver in this community.
I was asked to film and capture what life is like for them up there
so that over the years, they have something to look back on.
What an honour.
(You won’t want to miss it!)
I encourage you to sit back and watch the full family film here!
Axel | Lifestyle Newborn
Im sure you can imagine the excitement the day Axel was born.
Not knowing what was growing and kicking inside her belly,
with two sweet girls at home already,
I think they all just assumed possibly they would be blessed again with another beautiful girl.
but….Surprise!
The moment Axel was born is one I’ll never forget.
The room was bursting with tears and excitement as the Crisp Familys’ first boy was brought earth side.
Since then, he has been surrounded and delightfully smothered by love, and rightfully so.
I feel very fortunate to have been there surrounded by all the excitement
and then home a few weeks later to see him settling in just perfectly.
Welcome sweet boy.
You are as handsome as they come
and one of the luckiest little boys I know.
Here are a few favourites of my time with the Crisp Family,
now a family of five.
The Harmon Family | Lifestyle Family
There is something about the Harmon Family that brings light into my heart.
I met them 2 years ago, and so this time when I saw them, they had welcomed a new family member,
Sweet Summer.
I was quickly reminded of how much I loved them.
Their energy, the way they play and engage with their children,
Their smiles. All of them.
I thoroughly enjoy every moment
and it is my hope that you can feel who they are in these photographs.
That you can feel the joy.
Im already looking forward to the next time I get to see them
and I loved re visiting this session and sharing it with you and with them today.
I could have posted every frame from my time with them…
But here are a handful of my very favourite moments.
Michael & Mackenzie | A Wedding Story
Michael & Mackenzie
July 7th 2018
These are my favourite days.
No pressure, no stress.
A glorious backyard wedding, surrounded by family and friends.
Mike and Mackenzie had the perfect day.
I was just lucky enough to be the one to document it all.
Her parents home had me swooning, not to mention the oceanside backdrop complete with resident eagles.
I loved every detail.
Mackenzie said “Nothing matches, nothing is perfect”
Everything was lovely, and completely ‘them’
….And the Adventure Begins…
Thank you thank you THANK you for allowing me to capture your memories.
Here are just a few of my favourite moments….
